Last Post for project - DONE!!!!

Well this will be the last post for my project blog as I have finished my project. This post will also include my complete “Gantt chart” that I have used in order to help me complete my project, really this blog post is like a review of my project. In this post I’ll be discussing what went well, what didn’t as well as the project life cycle that I had used which is the “waterfall method”.

Firstly this was my first time making my own project from scratch and I can tell you it’s harder than it looks as you set deadlines for tasks that you’d think would take long but really they don’t, this was one of my main problems that I had as some of my tasks such as research and learning new techniques would take me less time so I put it down as only a couple days (2 days) it actually took me 3 days which went into my design time and another setback for me was that during the project week I had lost my memory stick which had a lot of my research and designs which was quite ironic as that day I wanted to backup my work. That setback nearly cost me the whole project as I would’ve had to start right from the beginning other than that the overall project went well didn’t have any real problems apart from the loss of the memory stick and even managed to give in the finished project early.

The methodology that I was using was the waterfall method which isn’t too complicated and has helped me to structure my project and set deadlines which was a big help, also the “Gantt chart” that I had made also helped me further set deadlines if you take a look you can see that all tasks have been completed.

The project overall was a big success as I didn’t miss any big deadlines and managed to give the project on time but in the future I may set deadlines that are realistic and making sure that I back up work on a regular basis.
